Beach Wagner has recently assisted MIM by providing design optimisation services in the configuration and sizing of shafts for their existing pan type chain conveyors.
This work included AS 1403 compliant classical calculations, frame element analysis for moment, reaction and stress cross-checks and finite element analysis (FEA) for final detail checking of stress concentrations owing to applied loads and geometry.
